Item II: Secretary’s Report with officer reports
- Amendment 1: Add a member to the excused members
- Amendment 2: strike specifics around negotiations
- Amendment 3: language changes to the membership coordinator

Item IV: Bargaining discussion
- Expanded bargaining → include NASE members in the audience who are silent but will help during out caucus time
- Scheduled Information:
- Negotiation meetings have been requested by NASE to be done in person
- First two meetings are set, but the hope is to rotate days throughout negotiations
- Connect with CAT members and recruit more for your buildings (1 for every 10/15 people) to share out negotiation information
- This information will be given to CAT members and delegates from the negotiation team
- Dates:
- Negotiation Team meeting → December 17
- Send initial proposal → December 20
- First Bargaining meeting in person → January 7 @ 5:30 @ JFK Community Room
Item V: New Business
- Opposition to Charter School Expansion
- Is the NASE leadership meeting with the superintendent?
- December and January have also been cancelled, next scheduled is in February
- Questions/concerns around the communication from the superintendent with holding accountability for using time that is over your own time
- Questions around paras applying for FMLA
- Federal government can reject, but then the superintendent can reject/accept
- What is the update around the vote of no confidence with the superintendent?
- Is currently in a needs improvement plan/evaluation
- Superintendent Subcommittee is January 6th
- Planning for bargaining ideas
- January meeting (January 9th) will be JFK day at the school committee meeting

Teachers (Unit A)
Lots happening at BSS with multiple grievances. Working on discipline issues at other schools. Planning for negotiations.

ESPs (Unit C)
Lots happening at BSS. Working on a discipline issue.
SVHS (Unit D)
Planning for negotiations.
Clerical: (Unit E)
JSS posting went out for 17.5 clerical positions and concerns around the time and money. Planning for negotiations.
Custodian (Unit F)
Hired the JFK custodian. Some questions around notifications around time off and this is worked out. Planning for negotiations.
Cafeteria (Unit G)
Hired one person for one of the kitchens. Planning for negotiations. Nothing else to report at this time.
SVHS (Unit H)
Nothing to report at this time.
PR&R
Lots going on a BSS with 2 current grievances. Health and safety moving forward to a level 3 and failure to manage grievance moving with a level 1.
Membership Coordinator
We’ve had 2 new members since the last EB meeting. Total of 34 new members this year with a grand total of 532 members as of now.
Communications Coordinator
Nothing to report at this time.
President’s and Vice President’s Report
Preparing for bargaining. Defaulted into the GIC. MOA for the special education teachers and the associate principal. Working on open meeting law issues. Met with the negotiation subcommittee to organize and plan.
