Financial Counter – April 17, 2025
The School Committee heard from NASE at our joint meeting on April 3, 2025 that it wanted us to prioritize COLA and Longevity increases in our next counter. So, we have put together two potential scenarios, that equal to nearly the same bottomline cost:
- one that includes many of the smaller items NASE had expressed as priorities at the joint meeting on March 6, 2025 (Package 1);
- the other that focuses as much money as possible into COLA and Longevity increases, while having to give up or delay some offers we had previously put on the table (Package 2).
Because both packages are an increase from the counter we made on February 27, 2025, we hope this will not be viewed as regressive bargaining.
